All day and night just writing my tunes
My dad said son, your songs are next to none but you need to get yourself out your room

So I bought an electric
Got together some mates
We all started jamming
At my parents place
We’d sent out demos to any blog we could find
50 messages this week and still no **ing replies

So after some rows and some fall outs
All those same mates later **ed off
I was alone and down and out
I nearly threw in the towel
But then I got a call from my mate Josh
And Josh put me onto Luke
And now I’m back in my groove


But me and Luke we needed a drummer
Cos the other one that we had was shit
We found this curly headed man who liked *** and the jam
And we both knew that straight away that was it
And that’s how Harry came to land in this rock and roll band


So Luke, Harry and me
We had our eyes on the goal
Got some bangers recorded and put our ** jobs on hold
Found ourselves a manager
To give us a hand
But now we owe that cheeky mother **er six and half grand

And so we started rehearsing playing gigs again and again
We played pubs, we played clubs, we played it all for next to none to a sound guy and a couple old men
But soon we’d find out it was worth it all the time we’d spent


Cos as the gigs we’re getting bigger and bigger
Soon the kids they came through the door
We played the whole uk and even shut down rough trade
That’s why we can’t step foot in there anymore
But those pricks will never understand
That’s why I’m still sitting in this shitty old van
