What an emotional whirly-bird this disc is! Alternately soaring and rumbling, sometimes silly, occasionally sinister. Fersen blends styles from around the spectrum into a fun stew. There is a bit of Tom Waits in here, some gypsy, some Bal Musette, some jazz, some tango. Some highlights: Bucephal - a drunken carnival that lurches along on high-octane accordian.
