With lush cavernous vocals, swelling electric guitars, rushing soundscapes, and R&B/trip hop influenced electronic beats, Merō arrived, unexpectedly, from elements of its influence (Bjork, Four Tet, James Blake, Daughter, Radiohead, Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar) with nuance from folk roots in storytelling and a fascination with the evolution of human history.
