Montreal-based songwriter Chris Hauer presents his third full-length release as Margret, The Most Fun that Two People Can Have Together. The seven-song album is Margret’s debut release with Egg Paper Factory. A veteran of Montreal’s DIY music scene, Hauer has already earned recognition from his peers for his consistent output of experimental home recordings, as members of Dories and Carla Sagan, and as an occasional live member of Laps. Beginning in December of 2015, The Most Fun that Two People Can Have Together was recorded over the course of a year by Hauer at Poisson Noir in Montreal. The album showcases Hauer’s diverse musical sphere, seamlessly stringing together folk numbers worthy of Bill Callahan (“Last Forgiveness”) and ethereal songs built on improvised recordings (“Slip”).
