This album features the steel band music of Gary Gibson and John Willmarth, with special guest performances by Victor Provost and Gary Gibson. This project includes performances by 167 members of the DuBose Middle School Steel Band program, one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States. Engine room performances include Mike Greer, director of the DuBose Steel Bands, and John Willmarth, educator and composer. The title track, "Momentum", was commissioned by Mike Greer and the DuBose Steel Band program in the fall of 2015.
