He was a fixture @ Howie’s on Castaic Rd—also clubhouse for the WORLD RENOWNED MRAfia Records, including: Smile Empty Soul, Poet Warrior, Troll Forcefield, Johnny Bluegrass & the Coon Hounds! After becoming mutual fans, g.mak was given a MAJOR assist by CO-D, when their improvisational jam band Whatever was born. [Editor’s note: CO-D HATED that name] With a guy named Smokey, they made musical magic on jam nights, where g.mak begged CO-D to produce his solo record. After the embarrassment wore him down CO-D agreed to produce—thus starting the juggernaut that would become 91384—recognize bitches! Representing for the 661 . . . . They never did a Gary solo album—4 solo songs in, g.mak convinced CO-D 2 really Partner on the whole record. The result was their debut 91384 release, ‘Game On!...
