As a songwriter, the idea is to provide songs that describe my individual experiences with God. Why? Well like lots of folks I struggle with severe anxiety, doubt, worry, loneliness and depression. So I have found that being quiet and listening for my "inner voice," (God), creates a sense of peace in me that quite often causes me to wonder what I was so fearful and worried about in the first place. For me that experience occurs most often when I am walking in nature and quietly listening for his voice. Being a songwriter and musician, I try to describe the spiritual dimension as I experience it in other than religous terminology...which is particulary important when my personal experience with God is mostly like a relationship between two friends who enjoy each other's company.
