Cyrus Sha and Exotik met each other in August of 2016 when Exotik hired Cyrus Sha for a recording session for his remix song "Balance". Immediately, the two artists hit it off as they admired each other's style and work flow. Shortly after, the two worked together on a collaboration single track titled "Planet Exotik". It was both Cyrus Sha and Exotiks first time writing music among other artists, and shortly after the release of the single, the two made plans to continue writing music. Sha and Exotik spent the first half of 2017 writing several tracks together, spending most of their weekends and free time in the studio and on writing sessions. After an intense 6 months of writing and tracking, the duo finally finished the Planet Exotik EP. They filmed their first music video for the EP for the song "Five" (feat.
