Mar's Debut Album, 'The Silence', Is Now Available. Featuring Jimmy LaValle Of The Album Leaf and Samuli Kosminen Of Múm!!! 'The Silence' Was Recorded In Reykjavik, Iceland And It Was Produced By Gunnar Tynes Of Múm (His First Album Production), Iceland's Axel Árnason, Jimmy LaValle, And Samuli Kosminen. Mar was my mother's name. She passed away of cancer in 1999. Even when there were no signs of hope, she dreamed ridiculous dreams. Everyone should dream ridiculous dreams. It's our only chance to do so. Mar was founded by me, Kyle Reidy in early 2004. We went through several changes in line-up before settling with the final four who pulled through and actually recorded the debut album a year later.
