This next release on Onefold Digital is a rousing, two-track EP from Newcastle native Fake Self, entitled The Beginning. First up is a lively cut with an undeniably uplifting sound. Funk infused break beats and distorted vocal fragments make for a quirky sound with universal appeal. Keeping the energy high, Motion is followed up by The Beginning, stomping, dance-floor beast of a title track, his retro melodies expertly dancing up and down the pounding bass line.
