billy moon is a Seattle based band led by singer-songwriter, Kristy Karen Smith (vocals, acoustic/electric guitar). Steve Smith (drums & percussion), Bruce Hazen (guitar), and Alan Paisley (bass) complete their acoustic/electric pop sound. These four talented friends started playing music together in September of 1995 after playing seperately and in various combinations over the years in such favorites as 3 Track Mind, Raised By Poodles, Ian Matthews, HI FI and Zero Deals. In November of 1997 billy moon released their original version of "Storm Before The Calm" and were subsequently signed to an enthusiastic and spirited young label. After investing considerable time and energy revising existing material as well as recording new material, the relationship cooled and billy moon found themselves poised to deliver an arguabley stronger version of their original title.
