July 11, 2010 - Huntington, NY Paradiddle Records announces the release of Life in a Hurry, the new release by Long Island based Singer-Songwriter Jay Scott and his band. The five song EP is a follow up to the 2008 Paradiddle Release, Homegrown that was recorded live at the Patchogue Theatre. Life in A Hurry includes four new studio recordings and a “bonus” track that will be available on the CD version but not the download. Scott’s music has hints of southern rock but is really more a fusion of genres like folk, rock and jazz with gritty, heartfelt vocals along the lines of Joe Cocker or Bruce Springsteen. His unique voice and acoustic guitar sound combine with a tight backing band on Life in a Hurry to deliver a crisp new recording.
