Thara Memory’s long-awaited CD, Chronicle, will be available as of Saturday, January 26, 2008. To celebrate the project’s completion and to promote the new double CD to the public, a CD Release Party will be held at Jimmy Mak’s on the eve of the 26th. Chronicle is the most massive recording ever undertaken by Portland, Oregon trumpeter, composer, arranger and educator Thara Memory. Chronicle features Memory on trumpet, with more than 20 guest artists, including Israel Annoh, Stan Bock, Skip Elliott Bowman, Daniel Brewster, Renato Caranto, Marilyn Keller, Stevie Ray Mays, Warren Rand, Janice Scroggins, and many others. The music on this double CD chronicles musical events in Memory's lifetime, all the way from his earliest childhood playing at age eight.
