onlyone is joe kowalski is onlyone. on "adjective/ noun," as well as the first onlyone album, "swirl," joe plays all the parts, writes the songs, records it all, experiments, etc. why "adjective/ noun"? i was trying to think of a good title for the album. what to call it? so i broke it down and figured, well, i need a noun with an adjective describing it. adjective, noun. hmm... i kinda liked that. i have no idea why i placed the slash in between the two. i just wrote it that way once and thought it looked cool. inspiration, ideas, directions... i'm very inspired by a lot of world, especially african, music, along with western permutations of it -- peter gabriel, paul simon, david byrne/ brian eno ("my life in the bush of ghosts"), etc. i love the beatles. i love kate bush. brian eno is a production genius. i enjoy bulgarian vocal music and australian music. so, basically, this album is me pulling ideas and thoughts from anyth...
