Hip Hop has been anticipating something new. In an industry watered down with fictitious tales of street life and material overindulgence, Word of Mouth emerges. Raised in the suburbs of Long Island, New York, a child not of the streets, but of the old school, he found his love for Hip Hop music at a very young age. "When I was like eight years old I used to be friends with a lot of the older guys from my apartment complex. We used to hang out at the park and play stuff like Run DMC and LL Cool J on the boom box. That's when I was first exposed to rap. Me and a few of my friends started writing rhymes and we used one of those cheap little Casio keyboards to make beats." Now, at age twenty-six, the beats are more sophisticated and the rhymes are more refined, but the mentality is still the same; emotional poetry dropped with precision rhythm.
