Spirit Of New Orleans' CD Bogalusa Strut was released at the Kalott Jazz & Blues Festival in Tornio, Finland on June 29, 2002. In addition to the band's basic line-up the CD features New Orleans' great Leroy Jones on trumpet and vocals and Finnish singer Susanna Mesiä. Bogalusa Strut contains 12 numbers: nine New Orleans jazz classics, Charlie Parker's Barbados played as Jamaican ska and two latin-influenced instrumental compositions. The material of the CD comes from various eras: the title cut Bogalusa Strut was initially recorded already in 1927 and the Leroy Jones composition Carnival's In Town is from 1994.
