“The purpose of Gospel Music is to bring forth the Word of God through music, to heal, mend and restore broken lives to their right standing in God.” -Cheryl James At a young age, Cheryl James gave her life to the Lord at the West End Church of God of Prophecy. As she grew older, her passion and love for music only intensified. Over the years, Cheryl was involved with a variety of choirs and chorals throughout the city of Toronto. She faithfully participated as a member of the Voices of Praise, Youth Outreach Mass Choir (Y.O.M.C.), and Sharon Riley and the Faith Chorale. Cheryl also served as an alto for the Faith Outreach Choir where she eventually became the director of the outstanding choir. However in 2001, Cheryl began to feel the Lord urging and pulling her into unfamiliar territory and eventually she had to step out in faith and follow the Lord’s leading.
