Urania is a songwriter and performer originally from Madrid, Spain who now makes Fort Worth, Texas home. Urania’s view of songwriting is to capture real emotions and deliver them in musically interesting formats wide audiences can identify with. Like most artists, the majority of Urania's song ideas come from her personal experiences, which translate into songs that reflect a modern western woman's life journey. Influenced by several generations of music, in particular late 60's British Pop-Rock, Urania models herself after female rockers like Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Janis Joplin and Courtney Love.
