James "Weedy" Barber is the man behind J. B. & Focus. "Weedy" as he is affectionately known by family and friends since he was a small boy. Although he is small in stature, his heart, his gifts, and passion makes him stand shoulders above most. James "Weedy" Barber is the founder, manager and lead vocalist of a family oriented group with a stirring Satin-like sound called J.B. & Focus from Van Wyck, South Carolina. The group was established in 2002; and has faithfully tried to encourage and awaken others with the message of God's grace, love, and mercy through song. The group is comprised of Terrence and Jamarial Barber, (his two nephews) their father: Jerome, a dear friend: Jerome Heath and from time to time they are assisted by Rev. William Mobley.
