This project began with empty pockets and a desire to capture the season that the Lord was guiding me through at that point. "Commune" is, for me, the constant desire for intimacy with Jesus and the ever-present hunger to know Him more. This EP is a product of the generosity of those surrounding me and encouraging me to find my sound in the world of "worship music." Yet I think in the pursuit of that voice, the music I was writing pulled away from the "market" I was aiming for, harkening back to the music I made with my friends in High School. So in every sense, this whole project is an evolution of that naive, searching style, and I hope all who listen can hear that. Prayerfully written, it is my desire to use this music to convey the truth of Jesus in a unique, illuminating light.
