Artistic Director : Datin Jane Choreographer : Steve Goh The Nutcracker, a fairy tale ballet based on adaptation of original story from German author E.T.A. Hoffmann. Curtain opens with a Christmas gathering at Stahlbaum’s house. Clara Stahlbaum and her brother, Fritz merrily celebrates with their family and friends. Looking through the glass window, snowflakes gently fall on the streets. Godfather appears and brings them toys and gifts. He presented a toy Nutcracker as present to Clara, another toy for Fritz. Clara is overjoyed but Fritz is jealous and breaks the Nutcracker. Poor Clara was sad and disappointed. While Clara was exhausted and fall asleep, Godfather then appears to resemble the broken Nutcracker. Nutcracker secretly break the spell, comes to life as a prince, which he used to be. ...
