Chicago guitarist Dave Cavalier's playing style has been compared to guitar icons Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn, a powerful and inspired mix of blues roots with contemporary rock, and when at his best, he sounds like nothing so much as a natural hybrid of both the past and the future of the blues. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Cavalier first began playing guitar at the age of 10 grabbing instruments off the walls of the music store his father owned when he was young. Eventually, after cutting his teeth in various bands throughout high school, Cavalier directed his talents toward the East Coast, moving to Boston, MA at the age of 18 to attend the world renowned, Berklee College of Music.
