Valerie James is an artist like no other. She has live entertainment abilities beyond belief and a voice like an angel! Valerie started singing in church. She sang her first solo when she was 6 years old. With knocking knees, she marched right up to the pulpit with chest out proudly singing to a crowd of parishoners. Many times she sang with her dad. They performed many duets on that righteous stage together in that little Assemblies of God church in Portage, Indiana. But, while in college at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana; many friends encouraged Valerie to cut a demo CD and try to get jobs singing in restaurants and clubs. She found a producer on campus who recorded her voice and went on her way to the local hang-outs to try her luck.
