The inspiration for Never Enough came on top of a mountain called ”Te Tapu-nui”, Queenstown, New Zealand. People take the hike through the forest and go to the summit of the mountain – often adding a stone to a little makeshift altar made out of rocks from the area. Sitting there enjoying the view, a feeling of love, bliss, harmony and peace came to lead singer Alan Binau. The melancholy sound of the song reflects that moment and so does the flute, violins and a lot of backing vocals.
