Midnight Snack's sophomore release is a reflection of the many changes that the band has undergone over the past year and a half. The Times is a slow paced LP that attempts to bring the listener along on a sonic journey through lucid and cinematic soundscapes. Although it is pop / rock, this album leans heavily on psych cliches and motifs from multiple genres including film scores and classic funk. What you may find here, is a cohesive conglomeration of contrasting influences from a range of many decades, approaching a style of composition that is only to be heard in the 21st century.
