This album definitely has received it's share of accolades, but from an Artist's standpoint, I find it to be one of those albums which I needed in order to cement my own signature and niche. At once conclusively dark, the album as a whole came from a lot of soul-searching. It deals with making peace from those issues of inadequacy and fear and ultimately overcoming them. Humanistically, it can be very empowering. It speaks a lot to where I was personally and professionally at that time in my life, so in hindsight I was being my own therapist. Listening to it now, I can physically hear the anger AND catharsis in bare transformation. This album also yielded me a bit of notoriety for landing on the Official 2009 Grammy Ballot and afforded me the opportunity to attend the Award Show on behalf of Waste Management. The experience helped me to dedicate more of my own efforts toward the Green spectrum.
