Nancy Reed’s reputation as a “musician’s singer” comes naturally. The daughter of a jazz pianist and an opera singer Nancy grew up in Brooklyn amid the musically rich culture of New York City. She began singing as a young girl and soon learned to play the guitar. Switching to the bass as a teenager Nancy played and sang professionally for over twenty years honing her skills in the clubs of New York and the resorts of the Catskills and Pocono Mountains before branching out on her own.
