Brasa is fire, a Salsa blend of Caribbean, South American and Latin influences in the USA. Brasa reaches back to a time when composers dealt with all issues of day, yes love, relationships were always addressed, as they have always but also the social problems and everyday situations, subjects like the economy, the local bodega bochinches, the barrio life, there was even a battle between Salsa bands that took place in songs. The music was treated with respect and the instruments got a chance to be heard, musicians got to let loose and with a descarga (solo), the listener and dancers felt the passion of the music, the Fire , the Brasa.
