Christopher Burris Hochkeppel is a Lafayette native working to make his way in the musical world. Chris began gigging at the age of 15 playing bass in churches, bars, restaurants and musicals. His first band Seven Horse Tango played shows from Lake Charles to New Orleans, sharing the stage with bands like FIGHTS, Givers, Rebirth Brass Band, The Revivalists, and Louisiana's Leroux. Currently Chris resides in Baton Rouge and attends Louisiana State University studying Music Education. He gigs regularly with his new project The Burris Band under the stage name "Burris". His new album "Listening" consists of five locally recorded songs performed by musicians from around the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area. Most of Burris's music is written on acoustic guitar, in a dimly lit room with paper and pen.
