When I was a very young boy, my mother used to read to me from a book of legends. They were various in nature, and from many different cultures throughout history. One, however, stuck out to me above all. It was a Native American legend of the White Buffalo. To summarize, there was a great drought in the land, and the people prayed for an ease to their suffering. When the rain finally came it was ushered in by an ancient medicine woman. When the people went to thank her, they found nothing but a White Buffalo trotting across the plains. This is my first album, so I thought it appropriate to name it after a childhood memory. In a way, creating it was an outlet for me to get through my own personal draught, and greet the rain.
