Jennie Avila Jennie Avila is a singer songwriter who has performed nationally in schools, coffeehouses, theatres, and prestigious festivals such as Appel Farm and the Philadelphia Folk Festivals. A trafficker in goose bumps, Jennie brings an intense yet playful magnetism to the stage. She is known for her voice that swings agiley from earthy growls to ethereal whispers. Jennie has shared the stage with legendary performers such as Pete Seeger; and has opened for Janis Ian, Richie Havens, and comedian, Robin Williams. She has released eight recordings that feature her original songs. The most recent CD entitled, “The Way You Like It”, was created with her trio, Hot Soup. Jennie is currently recording a new project with her duo, Aca-Perco. In 2008 Jennie was asked to be a judge at the Maryland Teen Idol Contest.
