Lacking Consistency is the ten song debut album for Houston based singer/songwriter Michael Downing. The album covers a wide range of sounds changing from acoustic and electric guitars to staccato synths and even dabbling in to the occasional xylophone. It would be unwise to assign a genre to Lacking Consistency simply because it would contradict itself every time the next track played. Michael has made it a point not to get stuck in any one particular genre because he can't imagine playing just one type of music. Lacking Consistency was entirely self recorded and produced by Michael Downing.
