Michael Le Van, a Southern California native and comes from a musical family which includes his father and mother and 3 brothers. Michael began his career at the age of nine and has devoted his life to the study and love of music. A graduate of Lowell High School in Whittier, California, Michael went on to graduate California State University of Fullerton 1983 with a BA in Music and Performance under the tutelage of classical instructor, Earl Voorhis. With the duality of his classical foundation and intense study in the field of jazz, he formed the Mike Le Van Trio in 1996 featuring Jotty Johnson on bass and Evan Stone on drums. Evan left the group to perform with John Tesh and drummer Dustin Haner has been with Michael for the past four years.
