Growing up, my parents teased us by saying "Look at your father and look at me … the apple does not fall far from the tree". It was their way of telling us that one day we would find ourselves doing and saying things a lot like them. Thankfully, they were right. Along with a tendency to loose my keys, I inherited from my mother (and father) a love for music. My mom, a gifted irish singer and musician, passed down countless songs to my brothers and I. She sang them while she cooked, used them to lull us to sleep, cheered us up with the funny ones and calmed us down with the quiet ones. Irish songs tell a story and they aren't meant to be bottled up. Please join us as we celebrate the beauty of this music and the joy of passing it on to others.
