Mazra is a graduate of the prestigious Arts Magnet High School in Dallas, Texas, studying classical piano under the auspices of Gabriel Sanchez and Otis Gray and jazz piano under Kent Ellingson and Bart Marantz. Mazra, upon graduating, went on to study classical piano performance at the Fort Worth, Methodist university Texas Wesleyan in Fort Worth, Texas for a short while. After taking a brief pause from his education to study sound recording with James DuMaine of the Gap Band at the Studios at Las Colinas, he then finished his bachelor's and went on to attain his MBA at Dallas Baptist University.
