The Manitou Singers have delighted audiences for many years with their beautiful and striking interpretations of treble choral literature. Comprised of 95 first-year female students at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, the Manitou Singers present a spring concert, participate periodically in daily chapel services and Sunday morning services on campus, as well as make several off-campus appearances during the year. Sigrid Johnson is a member of the voice and choral faculty at St. Olaf College. She holds a bachelor of music degree in vocal performance from St. Cloud State University and a master of music degree in vocal performance from the University of Michigan. Before her appointment at St. Olaf College, she was on the music faculties of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, and at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
