After a five-year recording and performing hiatus, singer-songwriter Matt Cheplic is back with the six-song EP “Who Burned The Book of Love?” In 2002 and 2003, tracks for Cheplic’s debut album “Don’t Let Me Lose My Mind” earned airplay at adult alternative stations in dozens of markets around the country. Matt’s video for the track “Deliver Me” was featured in the MTV special “Under The Radar: Flying Indie,” which was hosted by famous DJ/font of music knowledge Matt Pinfield. Soon, “Deliver Me” was appearing on Pinfield’s now-defunct MTV alternative series “120 Minutes.” “Who Burned The Book of Love?” is loaded with the traits that won over music listeners and industry professionals the first time around: infectious melodies, classic, understated production, and Cheplic’s warm baritone voice telling stories for people a little too mature for teen pop.
