When legendary jazz violinist Joe Kennedy passed away in July 2005 it was the end of an era for jazz violin. Joe Kennedy was ne of the last jazz violinists who could get the authentic swing feel that has characterized the genre for so long. \"Get Happy\" is the last recording Joe Kennedy played on, so it is a recording of great historical significance.
