FUNKATRON - [fuhngk-ä-ch-ron]: (n) 1. The musical creation and expression of five individual’s hearts and souls. (v) 1. To funk the rhythm. 2. To funk the rhyme 3. To transcend musical genres, space, and time. Funkatron started as a trio (Chris, Jon, Ian) in August of 2004. They spent about 6 months blending each others influences to create a newer, edgier funk sound, gaining an instant fan base in and around Gainesville. The addition of Coop, in the spring of 2005, sent Funkatron to a whole new level, incorporating wild synth sounds and incredible vocals to their already intense progressive funk sound. The group worked, consistently gigging, toward their debut EP - \"Skylab Sessions\", which came out Jan. of 2007.
