Since 2007, HIpHopGrewUp founder Bavu Blakes got married, moved from Austin, Texas, to Los Angeles, started barbecuing every week, ran a half-marathon and had a son. More than 1,400 miles from his old accomplishments and comfort zone, Blakes wrote the SANCT EP -- produced entirely by Reggie Coby (dead prez, Devin the Dude) -- as an update to his musical supporters. For the record, it sounds fine and great! Besides the recording and production expenses, the SANCT EP was fully funded by Blakes and Coby's support base. This allowed the SANCT EP to be released with CD's, vinyl, 14x14-inch foldout posters, shirts, stickers, pins and more after raising more than $5000 in 30 days via Kickstarter.
