Violeta was born in Klaipeda Lithuania. At the age of four she memorized the top Lithuanian hits and sang them to the neighbors, selling "tickets" (leaves) for 1 cent each for her concert. Violeta was going to use the proceeds to buy a baby brother. Her parents told her that a baby brother was much too expensive and bought her a CD player instead. Violeta reached the shores of the United States on March 25, 2001. With her, Violeta brought a new sound for a new age. Violeta writes her own music, writes her own lyrics (in both Lithuanian and English), and then sings her songs with such a powerful, emotional and captivating voice, that it actually makes a person "feel good to cry".
