Thanks to the advent of the digital age, starting one's own label has never been easier. What's become arguably more difficult, however, is making an impression on your listeners. One such imprint doing exactly that, however, is Needa Records. The Scotland-based label comes straight out of the blocks here thanks to their debut release - and it's immediately clear that theirs is a musical agenda that adheres to the more considerate (and quality-strewn) side of the electronic music spectrum. Much of that, of course, is down to the dab hand that is Kiran Iyengar, AKA Jackmaster K. The prolific up-and-comer has seen his stock soar in recent memory thanks to outings on respected imprints such as Musicislove, Killax and Skylax.
