"On the Rings" is a fully instrumental project by Athens, Ga.-based prog-rock five-piece, Saturn Valley. The album features a collaboration of musical ideas the group has developed over the past year and covers large spectrum of musical styles that work toward the band's vision: allowing structure to produce effect. With heartfelt melodies, undulating textures and a nuance of improvisation, the album attempts to travel freely through the dark and the light and the uncomfortable in-between.
