Sky & Signal is a trio based in northern Michigan. Musically, we integrate analog and digital components to support lush female harmonies. Lyrically, we examine things like the push/pull of society and solitude, how to filter through the often-overwhelming pressure of everyday events, etc. A common thread through our lyrics is that the natural world and solitude can serve to re-focus and recharge us and provide some solace. We pull from progressive rock, jazz, pop, and electronica. Modern-day bands who have influenced us include Radiohead, Phantogram, Pure Bathing Culture, Sylvan Esso, Sharon Van Etten, the National, and Wilco.
