In 1990, Paul Green, still a practicing attorney, gave a solo clarinet recital at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City. The concert represented his return to music after a 15 year detour into the legal profession. James Ostreich of the New York Times, in attendance, had this to say about Mr. Green: "Like a cobra intent on doing some charming of its own, the clarinetist Paul Green weaved, darted and hovered over his instrument at his recital in Merkin Concert Hall on Wednesday evening, conjuring gorgeous sounds. If the gyrations had anything to do with the superb musical results, perhaps other clarinetists should study his choreography" Mr. Green's first professional career was musician. He began his musical studies with Leon Russianoff in New York City.
