Bhajans are simple songs in soulful language expressing the many-splendored emotions of love for God, a complete submission or self-surrender through singing. Kirtan can be either deeply spiritual or just having fun singing or both. Kirtan is a call and response chanting, where the leader sings a phrase, either in simple Sanskrit or in English, the audience repeats that phrase, and it continues back and forth, thus creating a wonderful creation of Love and Light.
