In Shakespeare's "Hamlet," Ophelia sings three songs during her madness scene. One of them is called "Tomorrow is St. Valentine's Day." Our song "Valentine's Day" is a modern, pop rock version of this song. It is from the soundtrack of our modern film version of "Hamlet." Most of Shakespeare's plays contain the lyrics to at least one song. The music used came from old folk tunes, many of which were published as early as the sixteenth century. "Tomorrow is St. Valentine's Day," however, was not published as a song before or during Shakespeare's lifetime. Source material from the early eighteenth century provides the music. Using this music, and the lyrics found in Shakespeare's play, we have updated the sound to accommodate modern musical taste. The original music is sometimes still used in theatrical productions "Hamlet." Ours will is the first film version of "Hamlet" to include the music from the original productions of the play.
