New Arrivals was started in 2008 by five friends from Ekerö outside Stockholm after the members’ respective previous musical projects died out. The sound offers variability but centers around guitar driven heavy indie rock. Influences include Brand New, Coldplay and Republic of Wolves. All five band members are in their early twenties and currently reside in the Stockholm area where the band has played in most of the major club venues including Strand, Mosebacke and both Debasers. New Arrivals lastest release, entitled "Malaise", is available on iTunes and Spotify.
