The Call is the first single of the "Back Bag" album To The Other Shore, written and produced by Finnish singer-songwriter Laura Airaksinen. She recorded it in Helsinki, Stockholm and New York during years 2007 - 2013 with several top musicians from all over the world - 13 countries, people she met on her travel, coffee shops, streets and clubs. After discussions and collaborations with a record company Airaksinen decided to produce the album by herself. It was supposed to be a trio project recorded in three weeks but became a 6-year-long journey. A journey so weird she is planning to write a book about it. Airaksinen has played cello and piano since early age, sung in choirs, a capella groups, arranged music for choirs, played in orchestras and taught piano, song writing and and had a job as music teacher.
