It all began in middle-school when my friend introduced me to Hip-Hop. It was a genre that I didn't fully explore yet so it was new, fresh and soothing to the soul, but I didn't know why. I didn't have the ability to comprehend the substance within the lines, but I felt the words. In the middle of my sophomore year in high school, my cousin showed me that he was recording songs using his desktop computer and I decided to take a stab on a verse. Ever since that day we recorded our first song, I was hooked. I was hooked on Hip-Hop like a fiend that craves heroine. Coming from a broken home and city, hip-hop was my escape. I started to break dance, tag and even DJ, but writing rhymes always stuck.
